Anxiety is a mental state characterized by an unpleasant state of inner turmoil often as a response to the expectation of a future threat.

Anxiety is often connected with the following emotional and physical responses:

  • Fast or troubled breathing
  • Upset stomach
  • Feeling of worry and uneasiness
  • Fatigue

  • Withdrawal from situations
  • Nightmares/bad dreams

Mindfulness Based Therapy is often used to support patients who suffer from anxiety and works to help change the thinking patterns that support a person’s fears, in addition to helping change the way a person reacts to anxiety provoking situations.
